The Airbus A350 XWB is a long-range family of two-engine wide-body jet aircraft developed by the European aerospace manufacturer Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus aircraft to have both hull and wing structures made mainly of carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Its variants accommodate 280 to 366 passengers in typical three-class seats. The A350 is placed on the A340 and competes with Boeing 787 and 777.
The A350 was originally created in 2004 as a combination of the A330 body and new aerodynamic features and engines. In 2006, Airbus redesigned the aircraft in response to the negative feedback from a number of large potential customers and renamed it to the A350 XWB (extra wide body). Development costs are estimated at EUR 11 billion (USD 15 billion or £ 9.5 billion). From June 2018, Airbus received 882 orders from 45 customers worldwide. The prototype A350 flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse, France. The European Aviation Safety Agency type certificate was received in September 2014 and the certification of the Federal Aviation Administration two months later. On January 15, 2015, the A350-900 launched its same carrier with Qatar Airways and A350-1000 on 24 February 2018.
In June 2011, A350-900 was launched in the first half of 2014, when -800 started work in mid-2016 and -1000 in 2017. In July 2012, Airbus -900 postponed the deployment for three months until the second half of 2014. The first delivery to customer Qatar Airways was delivered on December 22, 2014. The first commercial flight was made on 15 January 2015 between Doha and Frankfurt. .
