Dear friends and followers, welcome back to my channel, today's video will be the first of the upcoming Airbus Knowledge Video Series. Today we cover some of the general A320 knowledge you should know about before you start with the A320 type rating. This is not a requirement, but it is definitely nice to know and some of the topics may definitely be in your airline rating questionnaire.

The Airbus A320 family consists of short, medium, narrow, commercial twin-engine jet aircraft manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321 and the ACJ business aircraft. The A320 is also called A320ceo (the current engine choice) after the introduction of A320neo.[5] The final assembly of the family takes place in Toulouses, France and in Hamburg, Germany. China's Tianjin factory has also been producing Chinese airlines since 2009, while Alabama's Mobile & # 39; final assembly room delivered its first A321 in April 2016. between 3100 and 12 000 km (1700 to 6500 NM) depending on the model.

The first member of the A320 family – the A320 – was launched in March 1984, first flown on February 22, 1987 and for the first time in March 1988 to launch Air France's customer. The family was expanded to include A321 (for the first time in 1994), A319 (1996) and A318 (2003). The A320 family started using digital flight control systems on business aircraft as well as lateral control systems. After the introduction, there has been a continuous improvement process.

As of May 31, 2017, a total of 7,610 Airbus A320 aircraft have been delivered, of which 7,279 are in use. In addition, there are another 5,501 planes. It was the world's fastest-selling jet-family family, according to the 2005-2007 data, and the most sold one-generation aircraft program.[8] The A320 family has proven to be popular among airlines such as low cost airlines such as EasyJet, who bought A319 and A320 to replace their 737 fleets. As of May 31, 2017, the American Airlines Airbus A320 family was the largest operator using 390 aircraft. The aircraft family competes directly with 737 and competed with 717, 757 and MD-80 / MD-90.

In December 2010, Airbus announced a new generation of A320 family A320neo (new engine). Aircraft fuel consumption is up to 15%. Since May 2017, over 7053 A320neo aircraft have been commissioned by more than 70 airlines, making it the fastest selling commercial aircraft.
