European aviation company Airbus and US-based Triumph Group Inc has signed an
agreement to produce aircraft parts at a production based in
Thailand’s Chon Buri province.
The agreement also includes inspections, repairs, maintenance,
general services for Airbus A320, A330 and A340 aeroplanes, which
are widely deployed in several airliners based in Southeast Asia
The deal was penned between Airbus with Triumph Aviation Services
Asia Co Ltd, which is under Triumph Group Inc.
Airbus has opened a regional operational hub in Bangkok, whose
initial responsibilities include electronic publication of users’ manual
for all types of Airbus planes, as well as flight information service that
are adjustable to suit individual airlines.
The Chon Buri plant is capable of manufacturing flaps and ailerons,
which are movable airfoils that are part of an aircraft wing to control
aircraft’s movement in various directions.
