On Tuesday 22nd March 2016, Airbus flew in a brand new Emirates Airbus A380 aircraft to Birmingham Airport, in order to undergo ground trials before the launch of daily A380 flights on Sunday 27th March 2016.

This aircraft is MSN207, currently registered F-WWSJ, and to become A6-EOW when delivered to Emirates. It flew in directly from the Airbus factory at Hamburg Finkenwerder, and will depart on its delivery flight to Dubai on Wednesday 23rd March 2016.

It was great to see a factory fresh A380 arrive at Birmingham Airport, and marks an important milestone in the Airports bid to bring A380s to Birmingham on a regular basis.

Congratulations Emirates on the delivery of your new aircraft, and we all look forward to seeing plenty more A380s at Birmingham from next week!

  1. i really don't understand what you are still doing here, i told you take off we are going to hong kong, so taxi to the run way and take off. you are clear to go!

  2. Stunning aircraft, I am a nervous flyer but I flew on one business class to Sydney, Australia and it was one of the most memorable experiences ever. Second to none.

  3. That thing is big enough to block out the noon-day sun. If there was one. Why is it that every aircraft video that I've ever seen from Birmingham has the same weather conditions??
