November 2017 will see the sad ending of nearly 40 years of United Airlines Boeing 747 operations. As United retire the remaining Boeing 747-400s from there ageing fleet. This video was shot in October 2017 showing one of the final passenger flights of the type into LHR Airport. A fond farewell to a beloved aircraft indeed as the mighty 747 gets harder and harder to see on passenger service in the UK bar BA & Virgin.

  1. Nice catch mate ! Sad news for Aviation 🙁 I have calculated that in 3-4 years from now there will be a Maximum of 20-30 commercial queens still flying around the world 🙁

  2. Nicely done Elliot, you did really well to capture the 'Friend Ship' jet on it's only visit to LHR in the these colours.

  3. Excellent catch! Huge like! The United 747 will be sorely missed! Its great that they painted a special livery for its retirement. I don't know why there is so many dislikes for this video?
