On the 24th of May 2007 the Emperor of Japan Akihito arrived at Tallinn. He and his company arrived with two Boeing 747-400’s flying under the callsign of Japan Air Force. This video clip covers the arrival of both two large jumbo-jets – a very unusual sight at Tallinn airport.

  1. We funded it for 50 years but noone had a problem with that just when we fund the new start of Iraq & btw there was no oil in Japan or Germany before the war or after the world and again none bitch about helping & funding building them just Iraq….

  2. Kuradi kiiresti ikka see teine pidurdas. Ma ei tahaks küll nende pilottide nahas olla kes peavad sellise monstrumiga nii peenikesele rajale maanduma. Nad lükkasid pidurid vist juba 2km kaugemal põhja 🙂

  3. That's a Russian a/c with two jets over the wings. Maybe a seaplane? Plus it appeared to be the Japanese a/c were led by a 737 of Estonia. Is that right?

  4. I wonder the second 747 needs to land hard to stop in a short distance before the first 747 of the Emperor and Empress to avoid getting in the way of the ceremony.

  5. Nice video. I saw them both landing and taking off. Truly amazing. It is also very unusual sight here at Vilnius airport 🙂
