Emirates Sky Cargo Boeing 747-400 OO-THD DUS – Have a look at this stunning Take-off. There was a very strong head-wind and the plane was almost empty. This was reason why the pilot was able to leave the runway after a few meters. Quite impressive though!! The flight distance was just 120 miles (Düsseldorf – Franfurt)

Emirates Sky Cargo doesn` t fly to Düsseldorf anymore. It` s kinda sad because I was always impressed by these amazing early rotations.

Emirates Sky Cargo ya no vuelve a Düsseldorf. Es un poco triste porque siempre me impresionó por estas asombrosas rotaciones tempranas.

  1. obviously very strong headwind and no cargo,rotation is based on speed of headwind airflow over and under the wing not the speed the aircraft is actually moving thats why an airspeed indicator of a stationary plane could read 10 knots while the plane is stationary

  2. You people know nothing. It's because it's flying against the flow of heavy wind. This means more lift is provided=earlier take off.

  3. hey man, when you feel it lighten up enough you rotate, so when its ready it will let you know. Unless you are a rookie and think you should be staring at the ground speed indicator
