Welcome to another plane spotting video everyone!!
There is a lot more content on the way so subscribe for more, also like and share.
I will try my best to answer any questions.

Not a good evening for spotting with chilling southerly/Antarctic winds at 35km/h gusting 45km/h but I tried to make the most of the conditions I had while also giving my new tripod head a test run. By the filming alone, I am not impressed with the outcome but as I continue to get used to the tripod I hope I will have more stability and confidence with it.

Unfortunately, I was late to the party having already missed half of the evening rush and the lighting conditions were ever-changing as the clouds continuously blocked and unblocked the sun. Also faced with the tricky winds I found myself having a rather glum time and not enjoying what I usually love.

  1. Such an amazing compilation mate, the quality is incredible!! I love this spot at AKL, its something a little different to the usual stuff! As far as filming goes in 35km winds – you nailed it! I was up against the same conditions for both of Auckland's Qatar B777 diversions and it makes filming smoothly very tricky to do! It was great to see one one of those NZ 777s coming from our end! Liked!

  2. My favorite Air New Zealand livery is the pacific wave. Wish they had made their new livery with those colors instead of the black and gray. Great video quality nonetheless

  3. Oh man you know what I'm going to say about that 772 in the old livery…. You know me anyways Matt. What a fantastic video of these massive beautys landing in 4K see the detail really well even if my phone only goes upto 1080P. Liked alot

  4. Brilliant footage, im curious as to what type of camera you use because i am wanting to start filming aircraft. I currently have a canon dslr which i use to take pictures however i would like some info on what a good camera would be for recording.
