In this trip report, we look at an Emirates Business Class flight from Geneva Cointrin Airport to Dubai International Airport on a Boeing 777-300 ER.

I use the complimentary Emirates chauffeur service, which sees me picked up in a Mercedes Benz E class from my hotel and dropped off in style at Geneva Airport. I use the priority check-in for Business Class passengers and am soon breezing through the fast-track security. I make a quick visit to the Dnata Skyview Lounge, which Emirates subcontracts lounge services to in Geneva. It’s quiet and underused before the flight. I have a quick snack before I head to the gate for boarding.

The flight is delayed for a couple of hours due to a mechanical fault, but we’re soon on our way. A shuttle bus takes us from the gate to the B777-300ER, where I’m soon in my Business Class seat. Since the pilots are in a rush to get the plane airborne, there’s not much time to look at the seat while on the tarmac.

After a quick take-off, I get a chance to review the Business Class seat and cabin. I find that it’s the older B777 Business Class seat which is the angle-flat seat arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration. I review the seat features before I’m served an after-take off refreshment and multi-course meal service. Afterwards, I have a look at the airport toilet, amenities, IFE system and on-board cabin crew service. I also have a look at the angle-lie bed which I managed to get some sleep on before landing.

The ground crew at Emirates do a great job ensuring that I make my connecting flight to Sydney after the B777 lands in Dubai. Stay tuned for the video on EK 414 to Sydney!

  1. Good point about the faux wood how does it compare to First does that have faux wood as well?
    Thanks for video Eddie 🙂

  2. Thanks for another great vid, we are flying Emirates Adelaide-Dubai-London this Saturday, nice to see the layout and seat for the 777

  3. Expecting a very good service from the beginning. Damned, this life is always unfortunate. 2 hours delay due to technical problems ruined the day yet no aerobridge services provided. No smiles at all from lounge crews. No wonder the lounge is empty!

  4. The welcome in the lounge was indicative of the rest of the lounge experience. Not a single smile…….horrible.

  5. 2-3-2 in business ??! And no lie flat seats ? No thank you ! And this supposed to be one of the best airlines ? Well, fuck me ! But great video mate 🙂

  6. Excellent video which was way overdue…when can we expect a First Class video with an Asian carrier (i.e. Cathay Pacific, Asiana, ANA, JAL, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines etc.). Keep them coming more frequently, always a joy to watch your great videos! 🙂

  7. Once again, You did a great job. Thank you for providing entertainment to us and thank you for sharing your british airways experience. I wish i could afford Buisness class!

  8. What is your opinion on the seat layout? I was a bit surprised the first time I flew on their 777, as I was stuck in a middle seat and had to climb over my sleeping seat-mates every time I had to use the lavatory. I don't think I have experienced other airlines that use the 2-3-2 configuration for Business Class. I personally prefer Business Class on their A380.

  9. You did it again, an amazing trip report. I'm only 17 but you make me want to work hard in life do that I could be able to afford awesome trips like yours. Thank you

  10. holy moly that aircraft was old and worn out…
in connection with the horrible "lounge" it does not fit at all with the complimentary lift from the hotel in an E-class.
