Flight from São Paulo Guarulhos Airport to Amsterdam Schiphol on a KLM Boeing 777-200ER reg PH-BQB.
This plane was delivered to KLM in November 2003 and despite being the second oldest in the fleet, it has been completely refurbished with new seats, IFE and power ports in coach. The new IFE is cool with touchscreens and maps with several features, but not as much movies or music options as with other airlines (QR, EK and TK).
Food was good and abundant and they even offered hot towels before serving the meals (I had forgotten about that detail which was very frequent in the past). The red wine (Elements from South Africa) was not good. There’s room for change there.
KLM was founded in 1919 and is the oldest airline in the world still flying with its original name. By the way, KLM stands for Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij or Royal Dutch Airlines. I’ve flown several times on long and short haul flight with this airline (mainly Europe to Asia) and never had a single problem with them. Even at the time of buying the ticket, there was a 10% cheaper choice with Royal Air Maroc, which offered a more direct route through Casablanca (although with a 5.5 hr layover), but I still decided to pay more to fly with KLM.

  1. Very nice video, as well as interesting commentary and side information. You always do a good job – well done and thank you.
I noticed at 10.56, upon touchdown when the wing spoilers flip up, that one of them was not up as high as the others. I wonder if that is intentional, or if it's something that needs to be fixed ?
