Thai Airways red-eye flight experience, onboard TG670 from Bangkok to Sapporo.
Pinch, punch, first day of the month and welcome to my first red-eye flight experience. This was during my study break back in December.
Thai Airways flight TG670 is a daily flight from Bangkok to Sapporo, the Hokkaido prefecture’s capital city. This red-eye flight, operated with the Boeing 777-300, has a scheduled flight time of 5 hours and 45 minutes. After take off, a sandwich is served as a supper. Then the lights are dimmed for passengers to rest. I slept for a solid 3 hours and woke up on time for the breakfast service. Hot towels are served beforehand. The cabin attendants are great, friendly and attentive.
When entering the Japanese airspace, I saw night time transitioning to day time and this got me to admire the window view during the time that I’m having breakfast inflight.
After landing and when arriving at the Gate, I saw most of the Southeast Asian airliners parked at the apron (our airline is one of them), all of them were red-eye flights as well. Of course ASEAN people like to go skiing in Hokkaido.
