What is it like to fly on the AMAZING new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner? Let’s do it together in Business Premier! #AirNewZealand

A brand new aircraft on one of my most favourite airlines:) The Boeing 787-9 is certainly the most futuristic airliner I’ve ever experienced and what better way to welcome the Dreamliner to my channel than by sharing this journey with you on the world’s most innovative airline (and launch customer of the Boeing 787-9) – Air New Zealand. I’m sure you’ll agree that the Dreamliner looks visually stunning on the outside – with both its chevron-toothed engine rims and swept wing tips. It is equally as sleek on the inside too, with large portholes, a unique window shade dimming system and mood lighting. This particular flight from AKL to PER was approximately 7 hours in duration and it would be my absolute pleasure to showcase Air NZ’s special brand of hospitality – wonderful service, beautiful food + fresh produce and amazing New Zealand wines. I even managed to get some rest on the legendary Air NZ lay flat bed – which is one of the most comfortable in the sky and available on both their 787 and 777 200ER/300ER operated services. For those of you who may be interested, the registration of this aircraft shown in this video is ZK-NZD and at the time of my flight, it was brand new having operated its first revenue service only 2 months earlier! My signature model aircraft giveaway is back too – with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner 1/200 scale model direct from the Boeing plant in Seattle, WA. Stay tuned throughout the vid for details on how to win that! Many greetings, David (aka: inflightexpert).

  1. I think it is wonderful what you do…. a complete example of how it is to fly in Business or 1st Class…. I just watched two other copy cats trying to do what you do and there were nothing but complaints. Your experiences are more relevant and refreshing to watch and listen too….

  2. David, you have disappeared again. Where are you? When are you coming back with another blockbuster???!!! You're missed.
    Keith.

  3. You are the best, I always Watch your amazing vids as soon as they come out. As a new Zealander i love it when you visit NZ!

  4. Did you ask for the model plane or did they give it to you? Because I have been flying the 787-9 from Tokyo-Auckland and back every X-mas and I never get it and I would really want that.

  5. You didn't mention anything in your Business Class videos about what it cost you to fly Business Class! What is the cost? Overall I found the videos very informative in every way. I flew to and from England twice, first time via Hong Kong there and back [747] and the second time via LAX [777] and back via Hong Kong [747] and was never once asked which I'd like I was just given one choice of Economy Class. Would be very interested in finding out the cost and if that cost included the Business Class lounge experience at the Airports etc as well or if that was additional! Cheers.

  6. Great Report. You simply can't beat Air New Zealand. I flew on a 747 classic in 83. Were amazing then, even with 2 stops to AKL. Love them. Good job!

  7. Flew business premier on NZ2 LAX from auckland definitely worth it, good movies good food good sleep too so I was refreshed when I arrived in LA, I flew economy to heathrow a few years ago it was uncomfortable after awhile which I why I wanted to fly long distance in comfort

  8. You make the best flight videos. Next time I fly to LA, I'll be going with Air New Zealand. Don't think I can do business but I'll definitely try premium economy

  9. Great video. I like your commentary very much. Air New Zealand is going through the roof, their products in all classes are fantastic. The woman FA in the vid, couldn't help but notice, has a Baume et Mercier watch. My similar one (male version) cost $2500. Wow.
