Overall, I thought this was an excellent flight. The Zodiac (reverse) herringbone seats were great and very comfortable for the 10+ hour flight to Chicago. The service from the crew was very attentive and top-notch for a US based carrier. The food was also very good (I think it had something to do with the fact that the food and catering were prepared in Japan). Add that to the lower cabin altitude of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and you’ve got a winning combination. I give this flight an excellent 9 out of 10.

  1. American Airlines has very much improved over the past few years. A couple of years ago, they were the crappiest of the horrible US3. Now, their Dreamliner is even better than JAL's, (which is really saying something) the food is amazing, and the IFE is one of the best out there. Now to rant about DOMESTIC travels. UGH! The nightmare of US3 domestically! No need to explain about that, FC is barely better than sitting in the back. Also, someone please make a petition to stop them from taking away IFE'S!!!!!!!

  2. Nice that American flies a big fleet of B787's out of Chicago O'Hare. Same cannot be said of United, which continued to fly ancient 767's and 777's out of ORD.

  3. lol A beep for pre ordering your food. Must have caused an uproar at American. The handshake did make me laugh, the food looked pretty good this time around. Lol your song at the end of the video is the same song in one of my videos. Another great video Simon thanks for uploading.

  4. +Kim Dowling Thanks for watching and for the feedback. I was using a new camera for this trip and have yet to learn its features. I hope to take better and more stable shots this upcoming trip…and may be a little less booze. Safe travels!
