Boeing, Boeing 787, ANA, Landing.

The Boeing 787 of ANA is a daily visitor at Düsseldorf. I think it was time for a head-on video again. Check out the amazing wingflex of the B787

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Its variants seat 210 to 335 passengers. It is Boeing’s most fuel-efficient airliner and the world’s first major airliner to use composite materials as the primary material in the construction of its airframe. The 787 has been designed to be 20% more fuel efficient than the 767 it is to replace. The 787 Dreamliner’s distinguishing features include mostly electrical flight systems, a four-panel windshield, noise-reducing chevrons on its engine nacelles, and a smoother nose contour. It shares a common type rating with the larger Boeing 777, allowing qualified pilots to operate both models, due to related design features

Camera used: Canon 5d Markii + Canon 100-400

Thanks for watching, I hope you liked it and please don` t forget to rate.

  1. This is actually not wingflex, well, a little bit. The Boeing 787's wings are formed that way since they don't have winglets. That's why they are more pointed up than usual.

  2. Looks kinda "wonky" to me. Something that bends so easily might flutter and break. Hope Boeing have done their homework and ensure all the stresses are not too high. The A380 wing is also kinda "flappy". Makes me a very nervous passenger!

  3. I love the 787. I went on one when going to Tenerife. We had extra leg room seats and everyone had TV's on the back of the seats!

  4. Once on the ground with the wings drooping it has a hint of the classic gullwing shape like the Corsair from that angle.

  5. As my place is near the airport, I often see a Dreamliner approaching to land. It's like an Albatross with its wings fully stretched. So beautiful. IMO the airplane is one of the most beautiful machines man made.

  6. Great Video Thank You OP.

I am not an aviation expert, but is this not a bad landing? Pilot comes down at an angel and touches down. Shouldn't the aircraft be rotated first? Landing gears get a beating going down sideways.

  7. +Cargospotter Excellent video, as usual. You did really well holding focus as the distance changed. That long lens really emphasized the dips in the runway too. The black bird at the beginning looked like it was "flying for its life" to get out of the way. 🙂
