Hello to everyone and hope you’re all well.
It’s always good to do something a bit different now and again, so for this video we’re in Poland (in the FS world that is!). This video was requested by J4WOR, in one of the comments on my London City video a couple of weeks ago, and as I have Drzewiecki’s amazing Warsaw scenery I thought it was a good reason to fly there and have a good look at the scenery while we’re there. Drzewiecki has made some stunning scenery for Warsaw Chopin airport and the city itself. There are many excellent videos which do a fantastic job of showcasing both sceneries but I thought I’d try and set the scene and show a bit of the city and the highlights of what the scenery has to offer.
Poland’s national airline is of course LOT Polish Airlines, who also happened to be the first European operator of the Boeing 787. I’ve not featured the 787 in too many videos so far so this was another good reason to do something a bit different. I have it on good authority, from J4WOR, that the aircraft featured in this video was actually the first Boeing 787 to operate in Europe, so it has a special significance. Here we see flight 4 from Chicago arriving to ILS runway 33 after its long 9 hour flight. As we descend, the Vistula River can be seen running parallel to our right, with the main city over to the North. I don’t know Warsaw at all, but I’ve tried to label some of the more prominent landmarks that can be seen on the right hand side of the aircraft as we make our final approach for landing (to anyone who knows Warsaw, please let me know if I’ve got anything wrong!)
