After trying out the DJI Spark drone, it’s easy to say that it’s the easiest drone to fly and the best for beginners without breaking the bank.
If you’re a beginner at flying drone or you want something that’s small that could easily fit in your bag then this could be for you. It’s small, yet still has DJI’s DNA when it comes to its design and functionality.
It has some intelligent flight control options available, a mechanical gimbal and a camera capable of shooting FHD videos.
Launching the Spark is very easy and can be done from the palm of your hands, well by holding it until lift off. Using the options available on its app, you can also select different control options; you can take a quick photo thanks to its incredible sensor, tap to fly, an active track which some may know as follow me mode and gesture control, allowing you to unleash your Jedi alter ego.
Tap options include rocker, which allows the Spark to ascens with the camera pointing downward, dronie for flying backwards and upward with the camera locked on your subject, circle, to circle around the subject and Helix for flying upward while spiralling around you.
While this is not a mavic, it still ensures smooth video capture with a 2 axis mechanical gimbal combined with some software witchery DJI calls ultrasmooth technology to reduce shake and rolling shutter effect. The camera itself has an F/2.6 12MP wide angle lens.
How about its flight capability?
It can fly at up to 50kph in sport mode, fly for 16mins max, get the fly more pack with a controller and you can also stream what you capture in 720p real time from up to 2mk away. It’s even compatible with DJI Goggles for FPV flight.
Again for beginners, you get a return to home feature, flight protection, even the battery is intelligent so you never fly with a near empty battery.
