Located in the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, the Finger of God (1692m) stands out for its unique shape and beauty. A symbol of Brazilian Mountaineering, the Dedo de Deus is certainly the best known mountain in the Serra dos Órgãos, and the climbing of this mountain is undoubtedly the great milestone of Brazilian mountaineering and is still a great challenge, especially for those who are starting in the world of climbing .

In thanksgiving to the end of World War I, a Mass was celebrated by the Reverend Father Pio Otoni Júnior on June 29, 1945, leading to the summit of Finger, another twenty-two heroes.
The peak is a symbol of the state of Rio de Janeiro, appearing on the flag and its coat of arms.
